Enrich Therapy

Shannon Reddin

I am a qualified Psychosexual Therapist (PGDip Psychosexual & Relationship Therapy) and an Accredited Relationships and Sexual Health Facilitator. I also possess qualifications within counselling, safeguarding, health promotion, motivational interviewing and personal, social, health education (PSHE).

I feel extremely privileged to be able to support clients to understand and cultivate all aspects of self, sexual health and relationships. My therapeutic lens enables me to work on a deeper level that provides invaluable context and understanding of client’s needs, often creating a pathway that can enrich and enhance their lives. I often say that people are my passion and so this work feels extremely rewarding and a pleasure to be apart of!

My approach

I have a huge passion and drive for supporting individuals to thrive in relation to the most intimate and personal domains of their lives. This is a lifelong passion that’s never faded with time instead, it’s grown and built momentum due to the many complexities and layers of ‘life’ that contribute to our sexual selves. Because of this, I am an empathetic, sincere and person-centred therapist. I use integrative models of therapy to approach each person’s challenges with a method that suits them.

Finding a therapist is often the start of people’s therapeutic experience but often the most overwhelming. The truth is, it has to be a good fit for everyone involved and so that very much includes you and what you would like in a therapist. That’s why I offer a free 15 minute call to see how things feel as we talk through some initial questions. I have an informal yet supportive, warm and professional manner that many clients find non threatening, comforting and accessible.

My experience

For the past two decades, I have worked across educational, community and clinical settings to support clients one-to-one who are struggling with the relational and sexual aspects of their lives. Through doing this work and listening to the diversity within people’s stories, it’s enabled me to see and understand the multi faceted layers that play a part in ones thoughts, feelings, identity and behaviours. Relationships, sexual health and sex still remain forgotten or hidden elements of many people’s lives. We’re expected to simply know how to navigate this part of our lives with limited education and direction, often leaving a sense of confusion, frustration and avoidance. My experience and expertise allows me to consider a personable and holistic framework that supports people to thrive and move forward with confidence, knowledge and skills to harness a more positive relationship with self and others. I have worked hard to further understand and explore these domains of life through specialised therapy training, enabling me to become a fully qualified Psychosexual and Relationship Therapist.

Typical clients are those experiencing any type of sexual dysfunction. Individuals, couples and relationships of all kinds are of course welcome.

Some examples of sexual dysfunction include: erectile dysfunction, painful sex, performance anxiety, vaginismus, intimacy issues and relational aspects that often path the way for sexual dysfunction within the relationship.
